Ex-claim!!!
I dug up the poppies
grown from seed that we took in
The National Trust garden
when no-one was looking!
I sold all the whimsical things
that you gave me
sold them on e-bay
then spent all the money!
Deleted your e-mails
and binned all your missives
can't even remember
just one of your kisses!
Tore up all your photos
found new favourite places
did my best to forget you
and banish all traces!
Changed my life, changed my outlook
so I wish that I knew
why I'm writing a poem
