Sunday 4th March So, we went to Middlewich on Sunday and picked up my new (well, 2nd hand) keyboard. Haven't tested to see if it works with batteries yet. I have this romantic reverie of sitting in the park on a balmy summer’s day and practicing. Wireless in plaza, or something like that!? :0) The house we collected it from was filthy. It stunk of cigarettes and dogs and was really dirty and untidy so as soon as I got my purchase home, it got a thorough wipe-down with an antibacterial cloth, yuk! But, it works and it was cheap. The woman who answered the door looked like Waynetta slob, nice enough but we couldn't wait to get out of there! And so from pigsty to pigout! We found a place to eat on the way back, called The Yellow Broom www.yellowbroom.co.uk and had a very nice 3-course Sunday lunch (duck and guinea fowl terrine, followed by lamb navarin and crepes in orange sauce for pud with coffee and petit fours). Definitely would go again but we probably never will, knowing us! :0) Saw a sign near ‘The Yellow Broom’ for "Clonter Opera" so must investigate that. Now Spring is on the way a bit of opera wouldn't go amiss :0) Mind you, look what happened last time I booked tickets for the opera! (I booked tickets for ‘Nabucco’ for Saturday 8th October last year but fell and broke my arm the night before, needless to say, we never made it to the theatre- well I did, but the theatre I was in, had men in green masks and gowns!)
